Didn't say I favoured the six due to any specific historical precedent. It's just a ****************ing nice engine configuration. Frankly, I think both the 356 and the 550 would be much more attractive propositions with little 2.0 flat sixes. The four banger isn't my bag.

The soft top looks weird in the back without the clamshell. And I'm not a fan of the un-imaginative Carrera GT recyled door style. Seems like they're going toward a convertible buyer and not a roadster enthusiast. Oh and that whole flat six thing....

p.s.
Lotus is bringing their A-game. I like the shift toward Lamborghini-esque styling.

this car looks great to me . you can tell it is a boxster , right away. it still has 986 elements. it looks way more muscular and modern than the 987. i really like the side vents and door lines (picture an aero kit on this thing). i don't understand why anyone would want it to look like a 986 that car is old ! i will bet anyone that it will out perform the previous car in every way. Porsche has had 15 years to think about this all new car. I just wish I could afford one
