After spending 2 1/2 years in my green 2000 5-speed I removed this engine over the winter and installed the car's original engine that has had necessary maintenance done to it.
Today I started to disassemble this "spare" engine to change the cam tensioner pads and a few other things. It was running fine, although it seemed a bit down on power.
With the bank 2 valve cover off the cams look good and the bearing journals are like new.
I'll update this thread as I move along and will post a few pictures of what I find.
