How's the Magnaflow sound?

Running headers into 2" cat-delete pipes, into modded u pipe. Magnaflow 12468, 5x8 x18 crossflow 2.5" . Umm.... Better than straight pipes, ,
It's fine at idle once warm and on trailing throttle, low load, and when your blasting.
I've got a few miles on it and it seems to be a little bit better each time but that could be hearing loss .

It's too loud on load and I fine myself short shifting wherever there are people. The plan is to put a Magnaflow universal 2" OEM replacement cat on each of the bypass pipes and reassess. Will black it out as well to make it blend in.

No time for video today as I've got to go into town to see Bill Burr and it's Grand Prix weekend on top of the usual construction headaches.

I washed my car so I could install my new Nine8Six centercaps. I made a "Special Tool" from a section of wire clothes hanger to pull out my stock wheel center caps and installed Fred's.

Pictures are in the Custom Center Cap thread in the DIY section here.

Working on cleaning/conditioning the leather. Otherwise it's been sitting in the garage.

Did this over the weekend to the door pocket covers. A little soft black lambskin, some contact cement, a little patience and viola! Looks and feels great. Next up is the plastic covers near the door handles.

I left my Boxster alone today - still broken, and drove my brother's '14 Cayman that I am babysitting while he is away.

That 2.7 makes an exhaust noise that I wish my 3.2 could replicate.

Perhaps this doesn't count as what I did with/to my Boxster but...

I added up the change I removed from my center console when installing the ashtray delete then installing the short shift kit from Ben. $34.50

All from PO

That's some major coinage! All I got from doing the same was about 27 cents and some burnt cigar wrappers.

Ordered a pair on contis Dws-06 for the rear as my Michelins A3s are starting to show cordage...
Pretty sure if I don't throw her sideways she's only spinning one rear so so much for the limited slip.

Put more miles on the magnaflow and it's mellowing out but still has some resonance between 2-3000 rpm and a bit of buzz over 4000. Will brace the tailpipes and put the factory cats back on but with o2 bungs added to see if I can lose the CEL.

Wings and Wheels tomorrow, and on Monday we are off to Nova Scotia for a couple of weeks in the Boxster.

First thing was to check all the drains, since it will be parked outside in Nova Scotia. Glad I did, because the left rear drain was completely blocked and the right front drain was partially blocked. There were also leaves and other debris in the foam "funnels". Got them cleared and then decided to have a peek at the engine, so I pulled the carpet, sub woofer and the engine cover. A lot easier than I expected. The engine can use a bit of cleaning, but that will have to wait.

After that I did a thorough wash and checked the tire pressures all the way around. Had lost about 10 PSI on each tire after cooling down from the HPDE at Thompson.

Last night I cleaned the seat leather, then applied a nice coat of conditioner followed by a plastic wrap cover. Used Chamberlain's cleaner, and their Leather Milk #4 for the conditioner. Smells nice.

So, these things can come out while driving? Please tell me more, I guess I have been lucky since 2003.

That's what another poster said happened to his. Someone borrowed mine while I was away from it for a few minutes. Either way, I'm going to make it harder to pop out. Driving or otherwise.

Replaced both driver and passenger window regulators. I went with the new URO Premium parts. Appear to be very well made. Windows are now very quiet and do the drop when I pull the door handles.
