NOTHING! Battery is DEAD! I can't get ahead of this beast. Charging the battery and plan on changing out the AOS over the weekend. Perhaps the demons will be leave...

Hope so! My car is at the indie today to try and sort out the lack of heat problem I'm having (no heat and foam blowing from the vents - needs repair air mixer) in this former FL car.

BTW, my Box is Midnight Blue Metallic. Its one of those colors that changes depending on the light, shadows, camera, etc. It does look black at times. Also, purple.

What Indy do you use. Just got back from mine. All sport in Stowe. They are very good and been around for over 50 years. There is another good one in Framingham. Eurotech I think.

fredd5r 11-25-2015 11:54 PM

Replaced the lamps in the headlights and tension cables on the soft top.

My door handle spring broke last night. I could easily fix the issue thanks to the info on the forum.
Thanks everybody :)

Not a damn thing. Doesn`t need anything. Waiting for snow to have some fun.

In the middle of replacing Coolant Tank. Oh what fun. Got the old out, have the new tank reassembled with dip stick hole drilled. Now the fun begins reinstalling and not breaking the oil fill tubes.

Bed Time

I put the old boy to bed for the winter. Changed the oil first and put the humidity bags in the cockpit. Its got 93,400 miles on the counter original IMS, RMS and water pump. Next thing to do will be to inflate the tires to around 45psi, put the charger on and take the wipers off .

Repleced both of them with a generic resistor I bought on ebay.

They were both dead. Been driving the car around for about a week. It runs cooler now by 15-20 degrees.

Drove my 98 Boxster to Kaiser and dropped off my final Semen sample. After two vasectomy I am free and clear. Yep...I said two vasectomy. Apparently I had millions of super sperm. Two years of samples and today's sample came back negative!

I hope the healing and PT go well. I have been dealing with a separated shoulder for @ 4 years, occasionally thinking about having surgery.

I took the Long Way Home from Church

Glendora Mountain Road to Mt. Baldy Village, +/- 26 miles of mountain road at 4,000 ft. This road was part of the last stage of the 2015 AMGEN Tour of California bike race. Mt San Antonio tops out at 10,068 feet. The bike race finishes at 6,400. The last bit is 15%. Those guys are gnarly. Nice drive with great views.

Plywood floorboards, cause I pulled the moldy carpet out.

What size resistor did you use?

Congrats, however maybe a bit too much information.

KevinH1990 12-06-2015 06:53 PM

The key stuck in the ignition on Friday night. Fortunately, I had bought a bunch of spare parts from someone who sold his Boxster and it included a spare ignition switch. I spent Saturday morning with my face under the dash and my feet on the seat back replacing the switch. All is well thanks to others who shared their experience on this forum.

Today I talked to another board member who is selling me the bases from his 8-way power seats. He had the bases remaining from a project. (He still has the seat backs if anyone is interested). This will enable me to complete my seat upgrade (http://986forum.com/forums/general-discussions/58080-full-power-seat-installation.html) by installing an 8-way power seat on the passenger side. I'll also help a friend upgrade his driver's seat with the other base.

Oh - and I got to drive the car a little bit.

morgal48 12-07-2015 11:12 AM

Installed my new door pocket covers. So nice that they work again.

TrumpyAl 12-09-2015 03:10 PM

Hooked up my shiny new Durametric. It's so good to get inside The Imp's brains!
Highly recommended piece of kit.

Thats the exact one.

ECS wheel spacers

I installed ECS wheel spacers. 5mm in the front and 15mm on the rear. Also adjusted the parking brake, installed an alcantara shift boot, and aluminum race pedals.

Now, I need to get my GT projectors installed and clean up the lens.

dghii 12-11-2015 03:40 PM

Replaced both side dash vents with new (used) parts. Old vents were marked up and the louvers were not adjustable anymore.

gpope 12-15-2015 05:26 AM

New Delivery

Yesterday took delivery of two new torque wrenches, thought about using them. But then only went out to the garage to look at her. Have a long list of things to get accomplished this winter, I should probably get going.

CrisZenithBlue 12-15-2015 05:53 AM

finally installed the top speed muffler and pipes on my 2000 and boy does it sound marvelous!! initially had some exhaust leaks which caused some droning between 2k and 3 k (it was a bit loud but bearable) but after rolling with it for about 300 miles i re tightened everything (used the easy seal clamps) and now it's as crisp as it can be. droning is virtually gone and it's less loud but when you jump on it the sound is just as i would have wanted this car to sound from factory.

tunnels and overpasses are just instant stress relievers! sounds like a swarm of angry African bees and you just can't stop smiling! i was going to upgrade my sound system next but now.. who cares! gas mileage is in the toilet though.. i'm on the gas all the time.

my only regret is not installing this sooner although it was nice to experience the boxster in it's stock form which was not bad at all. i do miss the intake sound a bit.

best mod so far!! more people should experience this amount of fun for just 500$

TMI and I know where Alviso is!

dghii 12-17-2015 05:00 PM

I kept it and sold my 99 M Roadster instead.

Boxtaboy 12-18-2015 10:15 AM

Got these a while ago, but wondering if anyone else has these. Alumalook clock and trip reset stems for the gauges...I always felt the standard stems looked real cheap.

Thanks, I got em a while ago from the site below. They are pricey, but I've had em since 09, and as you can see, they've held up just fine and look great.

I like them too and actually need to replace one I broke.

paulofto 12-19-2015 07:04 AM

Yesterday was the coldest day so far this season so I went to my garage, slipped back the car cover and looked at my car. That was it. I envy you people in the southern US.
