Yep…

….Zip ties are awesome.

There are aftermarket security clips you can purchase for the cable ends where they connect to the shifter levers at the back of the tranny.


Install those, and also...

….an aftermarket, waterproof box that you can install around the immobilizer under the driver’s seat.


It’s good peace of mind.

The factory muffler….

……is part of the harmonic balance of the entire drivetrain.

If you switch to a twin tube muffler, the interior drone will appear.

The only foolproof muffler that gives good sound, but not...

Gotcha…

….the previous owners replaced the 550 SE taillights and side markers.

It’s an easy fix. You can purchase new originals and install.

986 factory Bose here….

….I replaced the dash speakers with some 4 inch two-way jobs that were highlighted in this forum five years ago and the total package is really pretty darn good now.

I looked up those speakers...

….trust the dip stick over the display.

And these engines trap a lot of oil that takes a few days to drain into the sump.

To get an accurate oil level reading, use the dip stick AFTER she has...
