2004 Boxster S 550 Spyder Special Limited Edition
2004 Boxster S 550 Spyder Special Limited Edition #1272
42k miles, IMSB has been upgraded to the LNE bearing and registered with LNE. Factory hardtop. I am the 3rd owner. Also comes with factory hardtop, storage rack and hardtop cover – hardtop has only been on the car a few times and is pristine. Recent maintenance and I have maintenance records back to 2007. No accidents, front hood, and fascia remarkably free of rash and chips. Only a few minor exterior scratches that are hard to photograph and I would think would not bother anyone. Only minor interior wear on drivers’ bolsters – interior really very nice. No scratches on console. This Boxster has really been well taken care of by PO (12 years) and me (last 3 years). There are many factory-installed extras for this special edition Boxster that are unique to this special edition. Only 1953 examples produced worldwide of which only 500 were imported to the USA. Mine is # 1272. Color is the GT Silver Metallic which, at the time, was unique to this special edition Boxster S. The interior is Dark Grey Natural full Leather. Top is in good condition, no holes or rips but has the normal top creases that all Boxster’s have – remember that this year has the glass rear window with defroster. Stored every winter. Full disclosure: I installed Circuit Werks secondary cat-bypass pipes which reduced weight and increased horsepower a bit and look great under there. I do not have the factory secondary cats any longer. There are no other aftermarket items on this car whatsoever, other than an LNE full-flow oil filter adapter. Car was never tracked. Everything works.
If you are seriously interested, I can send a maintenance summary to you, and some more pictures and we can talk on the phone. Please send me an email if interested and I can call you back: dmpreston356@gmail.com
Asking $37,250
Thanks!

This car has everything I wish my Boxster had. I hope that it has 8-way power seats.
Good luck with the sale.

Thanks guys. And special thanks to Kevin who, along with another 986 colleague, helped me install those 8 way power seats. And they work great! Besides, if this great car doesn’t sell, that’s okay too.

Side Market Lights
No, I have not changed anything on the car. All the lights that you see were as such when I took ownership. I also have a very large factory poster from Porsche that shows the same lights as on my car.

Gotcha…
….the previous owners replaced the 550 SE taillights and side markers.
It’s an easy fix. You can purchase new originals and install.

Thanks AlansDavid : I would be looking at an 06-08 Cayman S. But, this is a special Boxster and it’s really tough to part with it. So, we’ll see!

If it had the dark brown interior I would be all over this. The brown was very unique. Nice car though.

Did this car ever sell? If not, are you interested in selling the hard top?

2004 Boxster S 550 Spyder Special Limited Edition #1272
Sorry for the late reply lfuller. My car has not sold and I am hesitant to sell the hardtop separately as I feel it adds to the overall value of the car. Thanks for asking.
