Thank you very much. You have put my mind at rest. With the Boxster not having an oil pressure gauge I had no idea what it was suppose to do. Keep enjoying the track. P.S. The thrust of the 911 is very addicting coming out of a 2.7 Box
Hi and congratulations on the '99 911! I love mine. It really is a wonderful car. In regards to your question about oil pressure, my car does exactly the same. The oil pressure will be high when you start the engine cold. Then it will slowly come down as the oil warms up. Once at temp, the oil pressure will be fairly low at idle and then immediately step up to 5 once you step on the throttle. Hope you enjoy your new car! Feel free to reach out anytime. All the best, Tom.
The guy's name is Carlton. He is, or has moved to Canada. Needs to sell the car. 38,500 miles. He has a warranty which is a good option. He just got back with me too late.
Thank you, i am looking to probably either go for an S or cheap out on an 8k or so base though. Thanks for the post though, all help is very much appreciated.
I noticed the picture of your car in the "Porsche Lottery" thread. It is identical to my 2000. I don't see that many Ocean Blue Metallic, with a blue top and blue interior. Mine has 71,000 miles.

I have been battling tire issues for 4 month now. I finally got my tires straighted out this last week. If you have not purchased tires yet I would recommend the drive to Big O tires in Lagrange. They have a road force balancer and really know what they are doing. I would purchase the tires locally in case you have issues with them I did not and ended up sending 2 sets back to discount tire. Real hassle. I ended up putting on a set of Michelin Pilot Sports. As you know they are very expensive but I'm glad i did it.
Hi
I want to change the rear tires this weekend,it has 225/50/16 'w" rated right now.I was thinking of replacing it with a lower rated tire at 148 mph V" rated, something economical.Whats your take on not using ultra performance tires.which place would u recommened in Lousiville for tires/alginment other than dealership.
