truegearhead Registered User Join Date: Jul 2011 Location: Richmond, VA (The Fan) Posts: 978	2.7 swap for 2.5? (Blown motor) I blew my motor a couple weeks ago on the track and need a replacement. The S motor is going to require too much work but an early 2.7 might be a good fit. I have an early 97 2.5 with a non-programmable ecu. Can I use my 2.5 ecu with the 2.7? I’m assuming the transmission can handle the 15 extra HP. Anything else I need to be concerned about? __________________ 1997 Boxster 4.2L Audi V8 Bi-Turbo 2003 911 C2 NASA HPDE Instructor
