This is the original 1999 coolant tank! Somehow that funky O-ring sealed for 17+ years and then started leaking.

Has anyone considered climate and exposure as being factors in tank life? Would it make sense that a car who lives outside in a hot climate would have a shorter lifespan on plastic components like the coolant tank, than one who lives in a garage and/or in a cooler climate?
