Not that I'm excusing the guy (I'm not), but I can see why he might have been frustrated, or downright PO'd enough to want to bang things around some trying to get his car out of the parking spot...he was totally pinned in!

That being the case, I suspect it was the Subie driver coming up from behind that did the pinning. At least the guy could have used "Reverse" instead of "Drive" and taken it out on that car and not yours!

Frodo: he "fit" his car int there, both the subie and I were already there!

Thank you all for the advice!

I talked to the GM today, she was polite but claimed she had no idea whose car it was and there was nothing she could do. I was NOT dining there.
She then said, I saw my own car in the picture, yet wouldnt give me a list of who was working there at that time with her, or anything. She told me to just keep asking around to employees.
Im not a stray dog! I will not hang around the back of a restaurant! Ill go in the darn kitchen if I have to lol.
I Still have not heard back from the police....

Here is the Establishment that it happened outside of, in all honesty it is an awful place for food, and now with the run around that i have received, I strongly discourage anyone from eating there!

I sent the following email to Bastas with the title "Do The Right Thing"

To Bastas Management:

A young man's auto was recently damaged by an employee named Carlos. The young man is attempting to get contact information on Carlos and would appreciate your assistance. He has an eye witness to the accident but cannot get the process to be repaid in motion if he doesn't get info on Carlos. The eye witness has confirmed the young man did nothing wrong and he should not have to bear the brunt of the repair and the high ins that will go along with filing a claim.

How would you feel if you were in the young man's position?

If you truly are Portland's finest Italian restaurant, I'm certain you'll do the right thing.

Thank you.

Tell the cop if he can't even figure this one out he stands no chance at making detective. (sadly I've had to use this line on a less then brilliant cop) He's missing the first letter and can't figure it out? He has only 36 possibilities (a-z and 0-9) Talk to the cops supervisor. Point out that even a junior Dick Tracy fan club member can figure this one out. (you may want to phase it less derogatory) Anyway also post on Craig's list. offer a $50 reward for finding the car, then lead the cop to the car and ask for his days salary because you had to do his job.
