Sorry to hear about the tire problems. For winter driving fun there is nothing better than a rear wheel drive car that can hang the tail out at will!

Since it is parked for the winter I am spending few minutes each night reading the manual (yes, RTFM!). Today I had a few things to do outside, went into the garage and popped the door open, sat down and reviewed what I had read. And admired the view. got out and admired the view. Only 3-4 more months of admiring it before getting to the fun stuff.

I added sound deadening material to both doors. Fired up the Bose premium system. Still sounds awful. New head unit and amp next.

Today was my last day of work at the office, so I wanted to present myself as professionally and as well as I could.

So of course I drove the Boxster to work. Met with my successors, tied up some loose ends, had a great lunch with my charges, then drifted off quietly into the sunset of retirement.

And now, Scarlett is my DD.

Today I stuck my head in my footwell and my feet in the air and replaced my brake pedal switch so that my brake lights would work again. It was a head-spinning ordeal.

Thanks buddy
The gauge LEDs are plug and play and can be purchased from SportsCarLEDs.com - LEDs Replacements for the Porsche ® 996 Boxster 993 964 911 928 968 944

The rest are not so easy; The climate control unit, all of the switches, headlight switch, cig lighter, ashtray, etc. were all soldered one LED at a time. DIY thread here.

Not exactly today...last weekend actually. Replaced stock radio with inexpensive JVC Bluetooth unit that was onsale at BB for $79. I could not get the alternator and ignition noise to shut up after install so I removed the stock amp as well.

Sound great running the dash speakers (Polk 4") and the stock door speakers (soon to be replaced).

Last week:
New spark plugs, tubes, and O-rings
New front rotors
New fuel filter
Manual Transmission oil change
Bled clutch and brakes
New Post cat bank 1 O2 sensor
Painted lug bolts (mostly got scraped off when putting back on but the faces look good)

Today: replacing front hood shocks with "URO Parts" shocks from Amazon. $12.96 Each; we'll see how they do...

Steve
