We put about 300 miles on the Boxster yesterday. I finished installing the new head unit (Pioneer DEH-80PRS) in the morning.
So, I thought we’d see how it sounded on the road. We drove up highway 20 around Clear Lake with the top down.
It was a beautiful day between 75-78 degrees. From Clear Lake over the hills with lots of 20-30mph curves to Calistoga and then Santa Rosa.
Had a great dinner at “The Villa” and back home by 10pm. Great day!
Sorry, picture taken with my phone
The Villa...over looking Santa Rosa

3 days ago I put in a new Alpine Bluetooth receiver in. Today I went and bought the wire and connectors to hook up electricity to my rear glass defroster.
I didn't know the defrost button heated the mirrors, just thought the button was useless. Learn something every day!

Today I made the defrost wiring harness and installed it. As soon as it gets frosty I will test it out.

What did you do with/to your Boxster today?
Finished up a long and tedious process to make my driving experience look and sound like never before.

Thanks! I'm just about to go for a drive and video tape the engine from the passenger seat, the sound is intoxicating and if you're the passenger, you can see the engine flex when the driver floors it.

Cat Delete
I installed my TopSpeed Cat Delete / Test pipes today. Pretty straight forward project, but always a challenge when mating aftermarket to other (Borla) aftermarket products. With a bit of persuasion, it all went together reasonably well.
I had read that the cat deletes would reduce the drone the Borla's are pretty infamous for. I was shocked! It REALLY helped a lot. Not 100% gone, but WAY better. Lots of good, deep, throaty sound with burble on decel.

Started my box for the first time after owning it for 3 years and completely rebuilding the engine after an IMS failure. Sure hope it holds together.

Since its a Tropical 41 today, I took the cover off, pushed it out of the garage into the sun. I even started it for a few minutes. First time in a couple weeks. Hope to take a spin later today. Hope I don't get to much salt on it.
The hose was to rinse off the salt of my bad weather driver. Poor thing. Black car that was white by way of salt

Leather armrest cover

I changed the oil. It looked so good, I used it to change the oil in my beater! How's that for being thrifty. Motul 8100 Excess- a group 5 oil. I'm paying $11/liter for the stuff.
I also replaced the fuel filter in the Boxster. What a PITA! It had to be done. Baby's off the road for a few months now- resting up for summer!
