So...

...LN offers a couple of options: a ceramic ball bearing IMS upgrade and a plain bearing fed by an oil line known as the "IMS Solution" that was developed by Jake Raby of Flat 6 Innovations.

EVERY IMS REPLACEMENT THAT USES BALL BEARING OR ROLLER BEARINGS is a short term fix that will need to be replaced after about 50,000 miles give or take.

The "IMS SOLUTION" that Jake Raby developed uses a plain bearing with NO moving parts that is fed by an oil line and floats on the oil. The bearing surfaces are made from a diamond like material and that bearing will basically last forever.

So, I would just send my car to Jake and have him install the "IMS Solution".

Actually I DID just do that. About six months ago.

I'm loving life and my 986.

Just do it.

Get busy living, or get busy dying.
