it is hard to tell if the IMS has already been done, the particular car im looking at has no service records. even a PSI wont test for IMS - where does this leave a buyer? Should i wait for right color, year, price with service history. Personally, I want a yellow or red boxster, so do I buy a different color if I know it was one owner and have the history. there are a ton of these for sale so it is hard to decide.
Hi was checking out your DIY seat teardown. Great info. Do you have any experience replacing the seat motor? I have been working on my passenger seat, the motor is shot and I have a replacement. I was able to undo the center section of the seat and can see the motor and can get to 1 of the bolts but not sure how to get to the inner most bolt then will have to pull the motor out and replace but the frame structure seems to be in the way, the wire mesh that supports the middle part of the seat pad.
