I ordered those before you hit me up, I kinda rather have that than the angel eyes, that's why I was asking if I could get them in chrome so I can use that Amber led bulb like these pics, but my projector updated to the bullet one and upgrade to your beast LED fog to match my lips Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have 1 tiny bulb to the sides, I have 2 5007 bulbs And 1 large brake light That's my bottom row Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
That sounds right. For the middle bulb, I have between a 5007 (led equivalent) and the tiny bulb, a red LED that is intentionally producing light along the edges of the bulb, rather than facing outwards, to avoid any hotspots or single points of light. Not a huge deal, seeing as you'll be replacing the tails anyways in a few days.

Less then a week owned and learning it,
Learning its limits http://youtu.be/gl8JYVyZ7V8 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Uh, sorry to sound so negative Jonathan, but your video was difficult to watch:
1. Very jerky and dark. 2. Rule #1: don't cross the double yellow line. 3. Feels too much like distracted driving. Maybe better not to learn its limits on the street. Do a track day. Other that that, it was fine ;). |
What did you do with/to your Boxster today?
1. I lost my go pro mount I'll buy one today.
2. Accident? I never really do, just touch it a bit. 3. Track day is ideal to learn a car. I'm going to the experience center in the east coast in a week, have driven lots of cars with instructors but I hate the pedal placement on the boxster. So I needed a good drive to determine what to buy. Thanks for positive tips, if you are ever in Laramie Wyo, my parents own Corona Village. Go to the guys bathroom and you'll see me on the wall with Patric Long (: I love WY! Quote:

Can you stop? I swear we had a thread just like this. Once again, if I bug you so much, just don't reply to my stuff like wise members do. Bro I'm trying contribute my 986 experience, you are old and poor. Die already. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Not here, not this thread. Stay mannerly and stay away from the yellow line, that's all. It's for your safety and everyone else's. That's rule number 1 don't even let a spec of your left tires touch the yellow. Decent video good luck finding a mount, I found that a 5S fits perfectly between the roll bars and rear storage tray. I've taken friends on drives over FaceTime that way. |
Older and wiser, but definitely not poor
you are a narcissist and immature You obviously were either drunk or stoned when you made that video and it is very irresponsible to drive that way on a residential street You hijacked other threads No one really cares about a spoiled rich kid with a bad attitude This is not Facebook or social media. We don't need or want daily updates on your childish exploits |

No more touching yellow line, agreed [emoji5]️ Omg so smart on the FaceTime drive thing. I will find a way to make FaceTime a global stream and take scheduled drives, so you guys can see the improvements of parts purchased. That's the only reason why I came here, so people could decide to buy or not parts and if they made a difference. I have a go pro hero, I will buy the suction cup thing and put it in the rear glass when the top is down and put Camara facing front. 1080p and less shaking Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

There is an app like periscope for global streams. That's not my thing though, I am more for the one on one experience. |
I installed Particlewave's LED motion activated bin, works perfect!
Thanks :) |

Well it was actually yesterday
Had a blast at our local PCA Autocross About 95 cars playing the flat 6 symphony http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1439247350.jpg |
Installed new top motor to transmission cable, squirrel catchers, and adjustable front driver side trailing arm.
Quick ride and all the noises are gone with the exception of the safety belts rubbing on the seats. Will felt them after the alignment tomorrow morning.:) |

Front forward control arm that is adjustable, from topspeedpro1, (TRW were not available anywhere and I won't pay the asking price for the exact same piece from Porsche). |
Actually last Thursday
Got back from a 5 day 1800+ mile road trip Skyline drive>>Blue Ridge Parkway>>Tail of the Dragon>>Blue Ridge Parkway Camped each night drove each day with the Top down. Weather could not have been better The Boxster ran perfect except for some squeaking from the right front ball joint Kicked over 80k miles on the clock on the way home Averaged 25 mpg and I was not taking it easy Boxster makes a great Camper. I probably had the oddest vehicle in the camp grounds http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01/3541439294872.jpg 5 days of driving with the Top down, Shade and a view were Key http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01/4271439294965.jpg Tail of the Dragon. I feel bad. After 800 miles, I couldn't resist pushing it on each turn. The Boxster really does handle these types of turns even with both trunks and passenger side filled with camping gear, food, water and tools. Did (2) runs in between all the motor cycles. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01/5211439295063.jpg |
I hit 94,992 miles today, and all of the parts I have been waiting for finally arrived.
Got my 986 up on four new Esco jack stands for an oil change, transmission fluid change, power steering fluid change, coolant flush, brake flush, low temp. thermostat upgrade, preventative new water pump, 987 motor mount, 'S' oil cooler upgrade, and center radiator install. Day 1 of ? And I continue to find screw ups caused by my old mechanic, who I though was great at the time. (Hence, why I am now doing it myself.) The rear underbody shield was completely missing, and the oil drain plug must have been torqued to 100. It stripped and after an hour of elaborate maneuvering with a very large breaker bar and bolt extractor I finally got it out, and called it a night. I had never been all the way under any car before, and I must say I really enjoyed doing it myself (at least, so far). Planning to do a post on everything once I finish up in a few days. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1439522682.jpg (The garage cleanup is a work in progress.) |
This is why I insist on doing all of my own work, Rick. ;)
No one is going to care for your car as much as you do. You'll definitely be glad you did. :) |
Thanks! And considering I just dropped almost $1k on outfitting my garage, I plan to continue to DIY. :)
Edit: It may not look like it but a Durametric, 4 Esco jack stands, Low/Long Floor Jack, Motive Bleeder, Uview Airlift, and various other things add up pretty quickly. |

As steved0x mentioned, you would spend more to do those services from a shop. So you probably saved money over all even buying the tools and the parts.
I have always used buying new tools as one of the benefits for doing my own work. Of course the satisfaction and true feel of ownership comes into play as well Enjoy the view looking up |

I didn't wash 'Old-n-Dirty 99' again, but I hosed her off. I Hope to do a repaint by the end of the month, but expect that will turn into late October. The headlights are in and done. "Vivo gunmetal with amber". Thanks to Redtele58 for the smoked lights.
http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1439598775.jpg http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1439598852.jpg I had quit the headlight project for a week after seeing the insulation flake off the old wires every time I moved them. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1439599009.jpg Now fixed. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1439599030.jpg |

I replaced my gas cap. Easy fix. The string was cracked on mine and the seal inside the cap was dry.
I also replaced the arm rest on the drivers door. Pretty easy as well. |

The motor works. The wipers work fine on fast and slow. The intermittent only works at the max time setting, no other intermittent settings are working. I want to remove the wiper motor to see if my intermittent wiper problem is connected to the motor. Running out of options now. You helped me with swapping out the relay and knob. I have cleaned the connections. It's now the wiper motor to check. |
