It's totally a money making proposition. The toll road is owned by a Spanish consortium and think the higher speed will generate some bucks. The state even lowered the surrounding speed limits to help the consortium. So typically in TX when it's 65 they are done 10 -15 mph higher, it maybe a nice way to strech the legs on your Boxster if live nearby..
