some pics...
tab right (plastic, ~4,6cm mid-mid screw)

tab left (plastic, ~4,9cm mid-mid screw)

latch (Aluminium)

FYI: Z-TOP manual mentions, that the OEM front center latch can be used - part number is:
99656340100
It is quite costly, brand new: ~250-300€

The tabs that came with top wont work. Holes 2" center, tabs they sent 1 1/2"center. Factory tabs bolt up but are too thick/long latch wont reach. Dealer is going to find me correct tabs on Monday hopefully. He says they are no longer side specific though.
With out inserts, latched. Your right on target Bran fits perfectly now. I believe with the correct inserts its going to be fine. You told me this but I forgot. Next time Ill listen better.

Ahh...glad to hear it worked, JB.
My Boxster passed TÜV, no complaints...picture perfect...and good to go for another 2 years.
Was a little worried about my retro 911 bumper mods...
Now i can put the Z-Top back on again, to finally adjust the hatch and side windows

I wouldn't of thought of putting those colors together but they look great. Best of the 3

The white stripe and red lettering on the side throws off the concept and goes against the gray/sand color

I agree, in fact I didn't even notice it when I looked since it is in the shadows. I think losing that but keeping the hood stripe.

thank you for your comments, guys.
Yeah, I took the side stripes not really into consideration yet. But it is always the overall impression which counts.
Like my wife says...color matching is most important...all of them.
You guys said, that "white-ish" color is not matching and you are right.
so a more adapted design...trying a different side liner color in the middle segment
...and omg...the sand color lightens up...so even that needs to be played with to get the perfect "sand color impression"
... it still needs a few more tweaks to figure out the perfect harmony

still hunting this color (kind of) for the stripes

not sure, if it is original...matt would be fine, as my grey stripes are matt as well
