Not just "cool", but extremely cool. When you say fully functional do you mean:

1. The low beams rotate up when you turn on the high beams like the retrofit kit
2. The low beams self-level to compensate for the up and down motions of the car like the factory-option system
3. A combination of 1 and 2
4. Something else

I just managed to track down a wiring harness and controller to complete the installation of my litronics. I paid about $175 and all I'm going to get is the headlight rotation in the retrofit. I'm going to be upset with myself if you figured out how to mimic the OEM operation.

Anyway, good job. By the way, have you figured out a way to mimic the polished reflector at the bottom of the OEM litronic? (I'm not sure how well it shows up in these photos.) I assume it plays some role in directing or focusing the light.

1) No. High beam rotation has been disabled because he now has true bi-xenon HIDs.
2) Yes, the projector rotates with suspension load (both high and low beams).

I'm not sure what part you are referring to...?
Do you mean the silver bit ahead of the reflector and under the inner plastic shroud? If so, it is a separate removable plastic piece (interchangeable)

Are these the current projectors retrofitted? I saw Fred was working on a litronics adapter.

I have my projectors (and windscreen) on order, would you be able to fit those into my existing Lits? What is the adapter for then? Apologizes if I am confused.

These were a one-off for me. Fred may be working on a Lit kit, but this had nothing to do with that.

I cheated. I used halogen reflectors with the projectors installed as usual and fitted them to the Litronic reflector mounts.
It worked out just fine, but cost an extra $150 to source the OEM halogen reflectors from a dismantler.

If I am not asking for proprietary information, how is your set up sensing the pitch of the car and feeding the information to the motor in the headlight? Would it be possible to add components to my system to accomplish this?

As you may recall, I cobbled together a pair of litronic headlights from 3 damaged ones. I'm about to add the headlight rotation control as described in this TSB: http://www.skylersrants.com/Porsche/Litronics/Instructions/Litronic11-02.pdf

I'd really like to make the system work like the factory automatic headlight beam adjustment system. It sounds like you may have cracked the code.

I'd appreciate any tips you would be willing to share. I have the the wiring harness (Porsche part number 996-612-988-00) and the headlight control unit (Porsche part number 000-044-900-38) needed for the low beam rotation.

Yes, Charles and I have many-many-many components. Small, big, gears, shafts, bearing systems, servos, even micro steppers motors. Sensors; all kinds of mate lol from thermal, light intensity sensor, accident prevention systems using IR, down to military FLIR features. What you require exactly? Operations/tasks can be scheduled, automated or real-time vs environment factors interacting with some of the finest micro computing available today (Chips and datasheets from Taiwan, promise lol)

Ah - so its YOU. So much effort for keeping a secret limited edition product within a small community LOL (not complaining, THANKS Martin!)

I've actually notice some pretty usual activity on the GTP facebook page just a few days ago and was wondering what on earth was happening. That FB page was registered but left there nearly dead ever since (been busy). That explains everything now...

Kept receiving FB activity email reports, everyday.... and only a few days ago I've uploaded a few visuals thinking okay, let them see the kits... to find out that a day or two after it all went fb buzz electric, overnight shares, likes, 220+ people talking about this..... ouch

Well that unusual traffic increase and enquiries started about the same time you were posting on FB. Can't hurt, and again, thanks! IT's YOU lollll

A lot of ppl is also asking me the same 'install' question, and I refer them to Charles lol Thing is, there are 10 different ways to DIY those headlights. Recommending a (one) method to someone who (most likely) is far more advanced skill-wise than I am, could become quite embarrassing. Not to mention my elegant Frenchglish writing skills :/

I'll see if I can "video" the whole process - from heating/opening the headlight, enlarging the socket hole from 21 up to 23mm, fitting/aiming the bi-xenon, down to the connectivity of the ballast on the existing headlight circuit. I'll make it as simple as possible (simplicity rules!). It's really not as complicated as some may believe.

I'll go make a fool of myself and video that soon (aiming at Feb). Again, just for you Martin
