To add to my rant on PPI my last vehicle purchase was out of state and would not pass state inspection for registration due to a CEL. The Indy I was buying from had to take it to the main dealer to have the computer recoded due to a recall that involved the CEL. While it was at the main dealer I called asking about having a PPI done while it was there. They said it was driven here so there is really no need for us to charge you $300 to tell you it's safe to drive on the road. I questioned that and he said they get calls all the time for PPI's and it's to give people piece of mind that the vehicle is safe to drive with the family.
