Good info here but in the end only you can answer the question. If the Boxster is what you dream about and is what will make you happy then my recommendation is to go for it. You're young and have the energy to learn and can research how to do the work yourself. My experience has been that no other car I've owned feels as sporty and gets the lady's attention like a Boxster. If you're family is behind you on this endeavor, go for it. I'd get a Miata, Z3,Z4, Solstice, SLK or other rear wheel drive car over a Civic SI.
