He's a very experienced rally driver, throttle stuck wide open and not enough time to cut motor. Both driver and co-driver escaped serious injury. In process of rebuilding the car. Interview in dutch but some footage of car being repaired:

Kleinjan nauwelijks onder de indruk van crash in Hellendoorn Rally

He said damage is not that bad and they will be back next year. His reaction to the crash, translated. "Well I have a black eye and my co driver caught a cold because of the water"

My favorite part is the guy who immediately shrugs off the crash and resumes staring at his phone, it's not just Americans lol.

In looking at the video in SLO-MO, I only see he's trying to brake hard before the barrier but I do not see him steer the wheel on the turn at all. Sorry but not buying the throttle stuck open excuse. Glad they both didn't get seriously hurt.
