Boxster vandalized right in front of me!

Mine was vandalized right in front of me about an hour ago. I'm so pissed off that I don't know what to do, but I feel homicidal.

Pulled into the gas station after a hard days work. Had the top down to enjoy the cool night air. As soon as I pulled into the lot, a group of about a dozen douchbag kids on their silly little crotch rocket toys started yelling obscenities at me. Fuming mad, I kept my mouth shut. I got out and locked it, as I always do when the top is down, and one of them of them yelled "did you just lock that, you f'in loser?"

Still, I kept my mouth shut and walked inside. While at the register, I hear the alarm go off, so I looked out the window and sure enough, one of those fu€kwads had his arm inside the car car. I run out and a verbal confrontation ensues. Wanted to hurt somebody bad, but the little di€kless bastards had me surrounded and wasn't much I could do except get in the car and leave. They proceeded to follow me for several miles and swerve back and forth at me. Can't tell you how badly I just wanted to run one or two of the little fu€kers over!

Got home and went to open the door and saw that the trim piece that goes around the inside drivers door handle was gone. Found it on the passenger floorboard, broken. Seriously want to hurt someone badly. Don't know how to deal with the anger. Help me guys. I'm going to lose it!

Considering trying to trade it in on Monday. I love my car, but I can't take this ******************** anymore!!!

Took a picture of some of them as I was leaving, just in case, but can't see or make out any plates.

How strict are the gun laws in missouri? hahahaha. flash flash.

But in all understanding IT SUCKS to have to share the world with people like that. You would think that people would be more respectful. I had my car dinged in home depot. Some low life slamed a shopping cart into the front passenger side next to the light. I was furious and if I had seen who did it I would not have held back.
Personally I would have called the cops in you situation, and also Im sure the gas station has cameras so get some plates and file a report for vandalism.

Believe me, I've considered open carry, but it would probably instigate more problems than anything...and i would probably be in jail.

Went back to the gas station and they are going to email me the videos, but there were no cameras where I parked, so the actual act won't be on tape. Said he could get the plates by zooming in, but no real evidence

Why didn't you call the cops or have the gas station call the cops? This happened on a private property and that too they vandalized YOUR private property.

You should have recorded every single license plate number you could, that way you can report it. Then if the police did nothing at least you have something to work with in identification.

I understand how you guys feel. Some drunk dude was raising his voice Friday on the outdoor patio. "shouting about Porsche cars, saying how he was going to have one and in general just being a dick that I have one". He'd come over and say " Do you have a rolex too?".

Apparently people have a hard time conceiving of someone sacrificing other things in life to obtain one dream. The house I dwell in isn't worth a whole lot more than my car, (try pulling that off with a wife and kids) yet when someone sees it that thought never enters their head. It never occurs to them that you started picking up trash at age 8 for quarters and worked every subsequent year in a family that valued honest hard work.

PS People are creatures of habit, that gas station is probably a common stop for them, maybe you will see them again or get just one plate number from one pic, that's all you need, that and a friend on the force to run the digits. I am surprised because usually crotch rocket guys like sports cars and live and let live attitudes. You did the smart thing Pwave, hats off to you, one moment of insanity and those bikes could have been a rerun of Pee Wees big adventure. Find out who they are, get justice and post when you do, I'd be carrying this photo for the next six months, has helmet colors, riding gear and bikes, sooner or later one of these road warriors is going to reappear, I'd spend some time combing some common biker bars. When you find them, clip their air stems with some side cutters or better yet pour some brake fluid right over the top of the tank, merry xmas mother @#$%^ers. No wonder most of these cars are garage queens!

if you do that, you've effectively bowed down to those who desire to take or prevent you having, not only what you love and enjoy but what you have worked for.

Why should you have the scum dictate what you can own and enjoy. Enjoy your Porsche and have pride in that it's yours, you earned it.

Here in Fl, you have the right to defend yourself AND your property! With their arm in your property, I would have come out of the store with my gun drawn and detained them there until the cops showed up. If they had advanced towards me at that point, with the disparity of force rule, it would have been a justified shoot!

That really sucks about your car. You can still call the cops. I'm sure the gas station has cameras outside that probably show the guy messing with your car. Give them a call and see what they say.

Guys like that give riders a bad rep. More like cowards because most Porsche drivers are level headed which you showed. You won't have to look far, they more than likely hang out at that some store or one like it close by. Its about "see and be seen" I see it all the time here. They don't really ride. They hang out at stores and gas stations etc. Any place where they can be noticed.

Ghostrider has excellent advice. Just show up in another car about the same day and time. Take all the pictures you can.

I'd probably show up in an old beater with no insurance and "accidentally" back over a couple of them. But then again, I'd be to worried that "I" would be the one that got into trouble.

This is why I often open carry a .45 on my hip.

If they have cameras in front of the register then they have you looking out the window leaving and making hand gestures. Equally so they have to have one of the vandals leaving his bike to approach your vehicle or its general direction. You also have the store owner as a witness. So you have the property owner on your side and that counts for something. Plus if these guys act like this that means they surely have one previous incident that was reported. So repeated offenders.

And the gun comment was more of a joke. If your not 100% sold on being able to hold the responsibility of a weapon then its not even worth considering it. The idea is that these guys are all tough and push because they were in a group, If they see a weapon no matter how many people are in that group they would most probably back down. Especially after they broke into your vehicle which would put you in the postion to defend your property.

That aside you option is report it.

I prefer concealed carry (although Ohio allows open carry as well). On those rare occasions when I've felt threatened, I simply pull my shirt up over the handle of the revolver to display it. So far, that's all it has taken to get folks to smarten up and step back.

This always sounds tough but as a CCW holder and owner of several weapons what good would it do in this scenario? You going to pull your piece and sight some guy in and shout stop? What if he calls that bluff you ready to go take a life long sit to prove a point? You don't draw a pistol unless you are ready to kill with it, period.

In NY use deadly force when not confronted with same and you go to jail not the dickheads, frankly pepper spray would be better to have, right up under the helmet but even that would be assault if they got your plate. I'd hunt these Frucks like a sixteen pointer, plan my revenge and serve it. AND I'd hit them right where they tried to hit you, on their prized saw horses, they are lucky this wasn't me for real.

There are dirt bags everywhere, no getting around it. Knock on wood, I've had no problems here in NE Ohio yet...we'll see how long my luck lasts. My kid, on the other hand, has a 2000 Celica GTS that's largely stripped down for track use (though he uses it some day to day as well)---a very unassuming looking car, silver in color, no bling to call attention to itself. He had his keyed by some a-hole a year or two back. Boy was he PO'd and you can't blame him. He's just startin' out, doesn't have a lot of money, carries fairly minimal insurance.

Driving the Box not too long ago (top-down) I was stopped at a light on a four-lane road. Guy on a Harley pulls up next to me, pretty 'biker' lookin', and I expected him to give me some crap about what I'm drivin', this semi-exotic German-built machine, thinking hard about what my reaction's gonna be. He surprised me:

"Nice car," he says with obvious conviction.
"Uh..thanks! I'm lovin' it," I respond and we go our separate ways.

People are hard to figure...

Wow what a bad situation. Aholes are everywhere. I think the safest solution was to snap off a couple of pictures and like someone else said, call the cops!

They would of jumped in there little crotch rockets and left I'm sure but that would be a better ending than the ambulance having to show up. Easier said than done I understand.

That's a shame. Surprised a lot of people on here don't carry firearms regarding the nature of our cars. Even though now the price of our cars is low, it's the marque that attracts unwanted attention.
