It's a rubber boot that's been holding in grease for 21 years. What more would you expect of it?

Lightbulb

I’ve been working on this car for a couple of months now and today I pulled the front bumper cover and cleaned the debris out from the air intakes. Also painted the grills. A little scary in the outside corners.....dirt had collected there and was still damp from no telling when. Amazing how much stuff can work it’s way in between the condensers and radiators.

Nice job, jcp! I did it last year and I thought the exact same thing! How the heck does all that stuff get past the condensers!?

Enough air with enough velocity and enough time can do strange things.

Garage
My Litronics had a flickering issue and wouldn't come on a lot of the time. I had to wiggle the switch and pull it out and back to convince them to come on. Replaced the headlight switch today. Now, they light up every time from my limited testing in the garage. Let's hope it fixes the issue once and for all.

I REALLY,, really like the way you've made extension cables, rather than simply extending the wiring on the sensors, the way I did mine.

Would you mind posting where you found the connectors for each end? OR catalog / part numbers for them? I think I'll do this if I ever need to change the o2 sensors.

Thank you!
Here's the part numbers I used to hunt the connectors:
Bosch 1-928-403-453
Bosch 1-928-403-736

Each cable needs one of each plug.

I purchased these from UK, since I'm in Finland (no customs etc issues) - at least untill the brexit kicks in
Here's the link where I ordered those both connectors:
https://www.auto-click.co.uk/1928403453
Same can be purchased from all continents.

On top of the cables I have the white 8mm heat resistant sleeve. This size fits real well ove the wires.

Hopefully this is helpful

Pilot4fn, What gauge wire did you use for these extension cables?

Installed a Schnell short shift kit, and wrapped it up with a Redline Goods custom boot and RennLine shift knob. I've always been a bit surprised at how long the factory throw is on the shifter. Not bad, but I certainly like the short throw better.

Not a bad project at all. Schnell's instructions are very clear, and the Redline Goods boot fits the factory bezel tabs perfectly. I did have to cut the top of the boot down because it was made to be used with the integrated factory knob.

I mounted my Klisstle roll bar covers on my Boxster. They look great and are way easier to paint and install than removing the roll bar. They can be easily removed to put the car back to stock too. If you are interested he has a post on the Boxster Parts for Sale forum here.

Nails and screws are an occupational hazard for me. I build houses. Probably find one every other month in one of my vehicle. That one doesn't look like it's been in there all that long. You could probably plug that your self

It's almost like they're invisible. Those look like they blend in, you can't even see them.

I have owned my 1998 Boxster 986 for exactly one year today. I put together a little video to share all of the build/maintenance/etc I've done this year.
