slowly progessing, rerouting cables back and forth through the car.
I tracked down a cigarette lighter cable on eBay for an Audi A6...it is the same as they used in our Boxsters.
So I finally can get my second cigarette lighter to work. New iOS Radio is working as intended...did all the preps for the door speakers
(I am going to retrofit them with the cocoa door covers, as that was not an option when I ordered the car).
I am creating a custom frame and send it to a specialist to get it covered in burl wood. So It will complete my conter console burl wood transformation.
As you can see...I do have some cocoa leather pieces installed already...just the door covers missing (and cocoa seat inlays, if I can track them down).

Gear indicator...check mark...off the list. Programming done, was a little tricky but worked in the end.
It recognizes the shifts easily within 1 sec...99.9% correct, after some adjustments and recalibrations. I am more than happy. It is useless nonsense, but hey, what isn't...lol.

DONE!

Now I just need to dremel the protection glass for it and I am done with that one. |
That is really Cool! In a modern auto industry where more digital is being integrated on dash displays; I really think analog gauges are slowly disappearing.

I'll give it a try |
EDIT: Screw that!
I've tried it, nice idea, BUT after 1 day, I came to the conclusion:
I am not going to install any China stuff in my Boxster, which is not CE certified. The converter gets waaaay too hot, again. You cannot touch it, that hot.
Why can't they use 12V LEDs?

			Thank you guys.
What better playground could one have, eh? (uhm, okay there are a few better ones)
As I am very picky with my modding ideas, this is something I could live with as aftermarket headlights.
I tried to like the new style, but still too much bling (Fred, your webcrawler should be active now ---> key word "BLING", lol) for me.
Less would be more for me and it would be a perfect homage to the fried egg look...IMO
Modern LED headlights, fried eggs "mosaic" style blinkers
Added 5th LED in the middle (DLR), deleted top row LEDs, created mosaic style blinkers (kinda like nano leaf) ...of course all photoshopped.

hahaha...my iPhone holder: IPHONE PLUS in landscape mode, with wireless charging (switched, so it doesn't drain the battery), free speaking mic and some LEDs.IPHONE PLUS used as Center Control device for … Pionieer car radio, navigation, back up wifi-camera screen, rear parking sensor screen for pioneer, tire TMPS, hands free calling, ...and all the other cool apps.
Benefits: Looks like a POS --> Theft protection and minimal weight with full functionality.
Almost there...95% done, it fits and is working already.

the Frankenstein...someone needs to get hi-res pics with lots of depth of those 911 GT3 RS2 fender air vents...and print it on a wrap.
Or you can actually buy some carbon ones from a german tuner...and put them on your 911, or with a little Finesse fit them on your 986 Boxster, lol.

Finest OEM Alcantara on the A-pillar covers , done by a professional saddler, just like the GT4.
Just reinstalled it today.

			Bling!!...Fred...web crawler alert!
Raised chrome headlight trim with 4 integrated LEDs to illuminate the clear DLR top ring part. And an attached corner for paint adaption.
A perfect DRL solution for the old fried eggs...a modern Retro interpretation...probably cheap to produce, easy to install and TÜV compliant...dips on the design...
