This concept is what made me fall in love with...

This concept is what made me fall in love with Porsche as a brand (and the slightly later 993 series). I still have the production teaser photo that was given to dealers leading up to the launch in...

A wrap will run you about ~$2000 on average...

you might get it a bit cheaper since the boxster is so small and relatively simple as far as surface curves. Standard colors without metallic affects and texture are a bit cheaper than some of the...

The vibration you feel is almost certainly the motor mount

failing. Mine failed around 60-65k miles and now I have 98k on the car and it is needing replacing again. I have noticed that instead of having to buy the entire motor mount like I originally did,...

Replaced window regulator...some issues remain.

My passenger side window regulator started to get slow and you could tell the window regulator was starting to fail so I replaced it a few weeks ago. I had the car sitting outside this week when a...

I think it is the quick blinking

from the key fob that I am getting. I have never had a problem with the button being intermittent in the way it works...possibly the range seems decreased as the battery has aged but that is about...

I tried it and had no luck as well

My keyless entry quit working about a month ago and none of the hacks so far have been successful. The light on the key blinks and I replaced the battery once just in case but that did not prove to...

I would agree with most of what FauxDiablo says....

I wrap cars for a living...my boxster is partially wrapped (windshield frame). I have contemplated wrapping my car many times as I am fond of the signal and viper green colors the car was not offered...

GAHH Boxster Convertible Top (Black)

Several months ago I had the glass rear window on my boxster shatter. I am not sure if there is any interest or use for the old top that I pulled off the car but it is in excellent shape apart from...

Porsche owners so often get a bad rap of being $%^&!

now I finally understand why...you just can't let it go can you PW?

I have been browsing (but rarely posting) on this forum since the old PPBB dissolved years ago and this is by far the most...

How did he mislead about it capabilities? Does it not do what he claims?

Icarsoft or whatever brand it was, for all we know were the first to the party to "brand" the product and bring it to market...do we know they developed it?

PW went far beyond just stating his...

PW...you obviously have some issues with rebranding products

...at least assuming that Pedro is doing so. If you have so much free time on your hands, why don't you go after Porsche and their reboxed products like I suggested...you claim it is unethical?

In...

Get some black gloss wrap vinyl (3m1080 or Avery SWF900)

and give it a try...easily removeable and looks as good as paint when installed properly.

There are two springs...one of each side of the top

just behind the door windows on the top frame near the doorsill. They look kind of like leaf/tension springs (just a flat piece of metal) and these are either inverted or swapped left to right...

Porschephiles would be upset if there was nothing to gripe about

in the new car....there has to be at least something wrong with the car so they can justify not purchasing it and feeling their older version is superior to some extent. So many people have already...

I think they referred to it that way as that was kind of the

way Porsche initially was marketing it (integrated dry sump or whatever they called it) when the water cooled cars debuted.

If you went over a bump in the road enough to unload the suspension

just enough for a bit of wheel spin (whether you noticed it or not) it will flicker.

Good article and they got the facts all right...thankfully it was

not written by Yahoo writers. I have to say I like the 981 styling better than the 718 in many ways. The front end of the 718 makes it look like the bumper height was raised for crash standards or...

If you want it...buy it. Could probably get it for quite a bit less

than the asking price. Be prepared to do all the work yourself and take your time sourcing parts as you find them (to save what money you can). The workshop manuals are available online and you are...

What is the story on the black '99 tip you just got in?

Flood? I can't see any damage on it.

I can't see the car losing much weight from losing two cylinders

as the weight of the turbo, and necessary plumbing parts probably offsets any weight reduction unless they did something more radical to the chassis and structure over the 981.

Fell in love with it the moment I saw it in MT magazine

when it debuted at the car show. I was probably around 13 at the time. I liked porsche to some extent before then but that really put me over the top and I fell equally hard for the 993 a few years...
