Holy **************** thats exactly whats its doing it was like shorting out when i was replacing it! window was going crazy and the horn too! I unhooked the battery at that point and figured it was the micro switch shorting out. Thanks for your help! How did you get that new connector? (10pin one)

I got it off ebay. It's a VW/Audi part.
This is what I bought:

wrong connector

hello. I ordered that connector you linked to me. its the wrong size it looks similar but the size is much larger. I'm kinda upset because i took my door apart again for nothing.... its like ever time i take it apart the less factory feeling it goes back together can you please help me find the right connector?

I've never heard of anybody else having this solution, though.
Try wiggling that plug while the door is open. When I did this, it caused the window to go up and down and the horn to beep at me (this connector also tells the car whether that door is closed/locked), which is how I diagnosed the problem.

My car had those exact symptoms, but replacing the latch assembly fix the issue.

yeah there's so much that can go wrong with these door systems. Fixing the switch on the latch is what fixed the last problem I had.
