Window not droping after new Micro switch?

Hello I was wondering if anyone experienced the window on the passenger side not dropping from the exterior door handle after a new micro switch was installed? It works from inside but as soon as you let go of the handle the window rolls up and then hits the top door jam. It also makes a beep beep sound some times ?

Ok Thanks. Is it possible the door latch mechanism is faulty the part the micro switch plugs into?

This happened to my passenger door. turned out the connector to the latch (the 10-pin one) was making bad contact. Replaced the connector, fixed the problem.
I've never heard of anybody else having this solution, though.
Try wiggling that plug while the door is open. When I did this, it caused the window to go up and down and the horn to beep at me (this connector also tells the car whether that door is closed/locked), which is how I diagnosed the problem.

Holy **************** thats exactly whats its doing it was like shorting out when i was replacing it! window was going crazy and the horn too! I unhooked the battery at that point and figured it was the micro switch shorting out. Thanks for your help! How did you get that new connector? (10pin one)

I got it off ebay. It's a VW/Audi part.
This is what I bought:

My car had those exact symptoms, but replacing the latch assembly fix the issue.

yeah there's so much that can go wrong with these door systems. Fixing the switch on the latch is what fixed the last problem I had.
