There are 2 codes that are required. One is for the remote that should be on a tag that is attached to the fob. The other is that programming code for the car. That is the harder one to find. Anyone here know how to get that?

It must be obtained from PCNA if originally sold in North America.
Normally they require you do this thru a authorized Porsche dealer.

I know an independent shop in LA that can do it, so search your local indy repair shops. Otherwise you'll have to go to a dealer.

Any idea how they do it. It seems that The RennShop here will only do it if they sell a remote (for $200).

Thanks for the replies, but I'm still not sure whether I can actually use this transponder with my car even if I can get the second (programming) code.

If not, the seller has misdescribed the unit and I might be able to get a refund.
