Could use some guru's help here, please?

I am wiring in a manual switch, as some of you others have done. I only need the high speed.

I replaced the resistors with some I had from a parts car, and I'm happy to report that the fans now work on low speed. (They did not, previously)

Here's my issue: when I pulled the high speed relays, the first time I jumped pin 85 to ground on each, the high speed fan came on. But the 2nd time, and subsequently, they have not. I've checked fuses 8 and 10 in row c, both are good.

Any ideas? Did I blow these resistors jumping to ground? (Low speed fans still work)

Any ideas?
