Perhaps a rotation of 180 deg is in order

Uhoh, did it on my iPhone, sometimes that happens. Tried to fix it once before, but my Mac apparently does the same thing. Oh well.

And thanks all, especially Fred for the lights and ParticleWave for the de-ambering DIY!

Disassembled my first headlight for projector install last night. Immediately wished I had just sent them off to be done but I'm kind of in it now.
Destroyed list at this point includes: rubber outer molding, two white keeper pins for said molding and one amber corner.
So much fun!

Hang in there, Chris!

The outer rubber gasket may have been rotten to begin with, the white clips are usually missing or broken anyway, and the corner trim clips break off every time (there are other ways to attach them ).

Can I send you the lenses for de-ambering?

I have been looking into these again and it appears that nobody has them in stock anymore? I went to the website The ultimate bi-xenon headlight retrofit kit for Sport & Super cars which said that Pelican Parts will now carry them but I cannot find them on their site.

Any info on this would be appreciated.

Thanks, John

John - Reebuck,

I've actually spoke to the chaps at Pelican today. They are not too willing to let go a product without the full "support package" for you guys. Involves a lot of work on their side... meaning setting up ref to install manual, working on a DIY, writing down a warranty specific to those, etc etc. How nice of them (and how embarrassing for me at the same time lolll)

What they are doing now (and what takes time) is what I've never bother doing. They are "professionals" and needs to remain as such to keep their edge so from the look of things, I've given them quite a headache :/

(me shy to call again)

I'll update as soon as I hear some news. I have faith to see some kits going out in a matter of week now (maybe days, fingers crossed)

I would leave the internals stock. Painting black would make it all blend together too much.

Sadly, the seals are not available anywhere. Your best bet is to find some stick-on foam rubber weather stripping that will fit (home repair shop, window sealing kits).

I ordered 3 pairs from Fred and have thus far got two of them retrofitted into headlights. I was thinking that the amber angel eyes would really make the front look good on the black 996 since it had some amber on the blinkers and I would say that assumption was correct! The blue did not look as good on my black 996 (IMO), but they do look pretty nice on my buddy's silver 996!

Out for a roll in the hay...literally:

Trying to reassemble but having trouble with the wiring. I can't figure where they all go and they don't match the colors on the instruction sheet. Anyone have any good pictures?

HID Ballasts goes inside the driver/passenger seats - if you don't have heated seats

Here goes a basic wiring diagram for you to start with. Had a friend who installed a separate on/off switch just above the fuse box for the Angel Eyes (showcar events use only, chemical green AE, highly illegal loll).

GT Projectors on Pelican Parts

Was just looking to see on the Pelican Parts website if they were available yet and saw this new (or at least relatively new) posting:

http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/SuperCat/1054/POR_1054_ELLITE_pg4.htm#item16

Looks like the Luminoso are available at $400

Does anyone know where to purchase a replacement ballast for this kit? I purchased a kit last year and one of the ballasts has failed.

How do you know it's the ballast and not the bulb? Did you swap with the other side?

Wow, you broke a ballast... why why why

Its actually the first time I hear of a faulty ballast. I was actually wondering what was wrong with those things... no failures on these seems quite unusual. Unfortunate it happens on you however, sorry to hear man

You can send me a fat $20 by PP to cover shipping and I'll shoot you a replacement pair. I have about 80 pairs on those looking for adoption here. Or if you prefer to purchase your own kit/brand, any aftermarket 35watts rated HID ballast are also fine (Amazon, eBay, autozone, etc)
