Scam Alert! Lux Wheels in Florida

Watch out for these guys, took my money on a set of Boxster mats.
They now appear to be accumulating a bunch of negative FB.

Beware!

Almost all great feedback and then within the last month, several people are not getting responses? Too weird. One person mentioned that the guy said he couldn't finish the sale because he got sick.

I'd say something happened to this guy that's out of his control that's keeping him from completing his transactions based on the pattern.

Doesn't make it any better for those who bought from him, but at least it doesn't appear to be a malicious scam.

If I remember correctly RandallNeighbour had a post about the guy where it had taken him some time to get his lights and turns out the guy had cancer, maybe he is not doing too well at the moment.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but if they're your carriage doors in the background of the Ducati pic, I'd like to see a picture of them, Doc. That's project number 1 for me, as soon as the weather breaks.

Have u contacted EBAY or PAYPAL to ask what is going on, they must have an emergency plan for situations like this.
Good luck and let us know what happens.

After I found the phone was disconnected, I filed a claim with pay-pal. What good that'll do, who knows!

Paypal is pretty good about refunding your money and if not just contact your credit card company and they will do it for sure.

I had the same thing happen to me a few times on eBay where I sent the money and never received the item, contacted Paypal and they refunded my account in a few days, the 2nd time was more money and Paypal seem to drag their feet on that one and then I called my credit card company and cleared it up quite quickly.
Oh and if the guy is in the hospital or dead and nobody around to pay his bills, the nice people at the phone company will not blink and eye before cutting off the phone service.
But then again could be a . . . . scam

One of the buyer said "Seller got sick. Couldn't finish the sale. Refund obtained. Neutral rating."

Probably something happens to him.

Given his very positive history, then a couple people saying he got sick and DID give a refund, and then a series of no responses, I would think the guy may be very ill or dead. All these people posting on Ebay about getting ripped off are pathetic, or maybe they did not read the history.

I had a very long (1.5 hour) conversation with the owner of Lux Wheels and Accessories on the phone about a month ago after I bought some center caps from him and one of them didn't match.

The customer service call turned into a counseling session and then I prayed with him over the phone (I do this whenver I can with people. May seem wierd to you, but when you really need healing and understanding from God, you'll even pray with a stranger on the phone!)

He was diagnosed with colon cancer just two weeks before, and was to start chemo a couple of days later. I would imagine that's why he's bombed on his business.

I never got the replacement wheel cap and just decided to blow it off and buy it from Sunset. I did notice he had two pages of very negative feedback though. After all, his cancer is far bigger of an issue right now.
