Interesting thread . . .

I only own my 20004 Boxster S a few months and I've been toying with the idea of buying a 987.2 S to replace it. I figure there would be more depreciation expense with the 987 but less repairs. Also, I wouldn't have to replace the audio head unit, and I would never have to worry about the IMS (not that I worry about it, I don't). I'd be looking for one with 20k - 30k miles.

Not too likely I'm gonna do it, but I may. But it sounds like I'm not going to save much on repairs and maintenance. What do you think? My '04 S is in pretty good shape with only 50k miles, and has been well maintained.
