I went to stealership once. Ask JayG how that turned out...I'm still ashamed.  Never went back for my free wash. What a joke.
I'm pretty sure it's from registering as the current owner. I'd love to know if that went to only 986 owners for targeted advertising like the pen. My car had all the buyer docs and a few current owner register cards, so I filled one out and sent it away.
