Not snobbery at all. I drove both, no way I was driving a base home. Came down to HP and brakes.

funny thing is a lot of people give advice , that there is not much difference between an S and base. I have owned both and the difference is significant . just like the 3.2S and the 996 3.4 i can't believe how much more juice the 3.4 has. my 996 feels really fast after a drive in the Boxster S .

certainly takes some big ones to take a 996 in hot like you can in the box but with PSS9 , gt3 bars and some fat rubber out back my 996 feels more buttoned down than my ROW m030 S .
