I've found a replacement Boxster S
In September, an idiot killed my 2004 S. Here is what it looked like.
http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1416640701.jpg Well after a few months of searching, I've found this: http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1416641244.jpg I'm picking this up on Monday. The PPI confirmed that it needs a new clutch which I've bought already. While I'm in there, I'll change the IMS and RMS and exhaust. I'm starting to get really excited. It's like waiting for Christmas morning. |
Congrats on the new car, it's a nice color.
Is it a base boxster or an S ? |
Very nice. Options & Miles?

It's an 2003 S. This is the options list:
Heated Front Seats, Cruise Control, Porsche Stability Management, HI-FI Sound (Digital), Porsche Windstop (Deflector), Graphite Grey Standard Leather, Lapis Blue Metallic, Graphite Grey Floor Mat, Metropol Blue Top Adding to that, I'm going to put the 18" carreras that I pulled off the old car. It has only 52600 miles on it. Less than half of my grey one. I'm pretty psyched. Tony |
Looking very sharp!

Typical S snobbery |
Here she is after a good cleaning. This is just an initial cleaning. I'll do a really good polish, sealing and wax later on.

Congrats on the find. She looks like one sweet ride.
Good luck with her after the preventative maintenance. TO |

funny thing is a lot of people give advice , that there is not much difference between an S and base. I have owned both and the difference is significant . just like the 3.2S and the 996 3.4 i can't believe how much more juice the 3.4 has. my 996 feels really fast after a drive in the Boxster S .

I liked the grey one. The interior was mint and the color combo felt more classy. Plus, the seal grey color hid a lot of dirt. It looked clean for a longer time. When I picked up the blue one, it had just been cleaned, but it showed a lot of scratches (deeper than could be polished out). I had to take some sandpaper (1000 grit, then 2000 grit) and rubbing compound to get it to look like this. Next I'll polish, glaze, seal and wax it. That should get rid of the spiderwebs that are so noticeable on the darker colors. I want it to look liquid smooth up close. I think it looks great so far though.
