I'm the same user ID on all of the forums I am on. I go to BoxsterRegister for a few of their tutorials, Rennlist sometimes when I am searching and I find a search result on bing that takes me there, and I used to use Renntech (again for DIY and searching) but Comcast reports me to certain blacklists because I don't use their email and I am blocked from renntech. 986Forum is the only one I go to read on a daily basis and participate in the discussions.

This is the only forum I frequent regularly, but I do visit Rennlist now and then as they have a specific 'Canadian' section, which is good for finding local events and parts and such.

I'm pretty well on all of them. RedTele58, RedTele or RickyD.

I use the same name (thstone) on a number of other forums (several Pelican, Rennlist, Early S-Registry, etc) but this one is by far the best (IMHO).

I am surprised on the other forums at how many jerks, trolls, and jackazzes are on there who have nothing better to do than screw with other people. You'd think that a forum would bring like-minded enthusiasts together to share their passion and experiences; instead on some of these other sites, they just tear into each other.

P-9 & Quattroworld. Use the same name on them too.

Both are relatively troll / jackass free.

This is why I stick pretty much to this forum. The people are for the most part pretty great. The other sites I may go occasionly to for how to info.

As long as we stay away from cats, it's pretty tame around here, although we still get our fair share of jerks from time to time.

I am mostly on 986forum, but I also frequent RennTech every now and then. I do have accounts on most of the major Porsche/car forums.

I have been active on a few non-car forums over the years, most of them are now ghost towns or no longer exist. 986forum is easily the best online community I have encountered!

Also, for Giller:

You are so right, especially the rennlist 996 forum. There are a couple of real winners there with 1000's of posts

If I can't find an answer I use Rennlist but there is very little action in their Boxster page Any place else I use Black Box.

you can always check the 996 forum. Remember much of the Boxster and the 996 are the same

When I had my 993 cab and 993 turbo I lived on Rennlist. I have never "met" a better group of car enthusiast. And the knowledge that was shared on the forum was invaluable. But, the Boxster side of Rennlist is very quiet. Babblers in No.Cal is dead. I just signed up for the PCA Boxster site and it too is very quiet.

For Boxsters, this is the place to be.

This form by far has the least among of vendor haters...

I HATE Rennlist, its not like it was when I was there back in the days when it was an email newsgroup back in the day.

Also, NEVER judge someone's information based on their post count. I see people with their heads up their asses, parroting information thats absolutely 100% wrong, and they lead people astray because they have a high post count.

Its like judging a book by its cover.

There is no option on the poll for No other forum, but if there was that would be my choice.
