If someone offered.... it would be gone in a heartbeat. Does it mean i dislike them? nope. Easy to buy another.. Then again this is my 4th or 5th since 2011.

Additionally, I tweak/customize and work on all my cars- this car looks and drives much better than the original. I routinely get lots of attention, compliments and thumbs ups at car shows - even from 911 owners , so in some respect, it has become partly a reflection of me. Always hard to give yourself away
I feel exactly the same way about mine. I have had it for five years and after a change in career and several moves up and down the east coast it has been the one constant in my life. I would have to say that I am emotionally attached to it. Now even trade for a 981, that's a no-brainer.

I have only had mine two weeks and would not sell....Took me 18 months to find just the right one. I know there are plenty out there, but I am big on the pre-cup holder 986 (seems more genuinely German to me) and most of the ones I have seen are in crap condition....

Recently was tempted as I usually sell a car when I can get back most of what I put into it. Realized I would just be building a dupicate car as what I have is what I want even after 11 years & 90K miles.

Only two weeks, let's see pictures. Oh yea, pics of the MGB and TR-7 too....that is a walk back in time. I owned a British Racing Green MGB in the late 70's and a friend owned a french blue TR-7.

I felt that way until i drove a turbo. I do miss really pushing my boxster to its limits and tossing it around, it was easier and safer to do.

I've gone so far as to artificially inseminate the Dangermobile.

Yes, very emotionally attached. It's a sin.
I've considered "what if I just put in on Craigslist for a crazy asking price, and just drive it until it sells",,,, and then I think, I could never sell her! I love my Boxsteress too much!

I will post pics as soon as I get proper ones. It has been in the 20's here in the Carolinas and cannot put a plastic-windowed top down now can we? LOL

Sorry guys, the B and the TR7 were previous as well and I owned them back in the late 80's...no pics survived. The B was a great car - The TR7 was too until a cracked head (

Still in my honeymoon phase. Let's see in a year. I sold my 964 do to changing family needs. I regret doing so to this day.

I am attached!
I have spent hundreds of hours wrenching on the car and thousands of dollars in modding it.
I plan on keeping this car forever.
I treat her right and she treats me right!
The few times she's saved me from wrecking I have even kissed the steering wheel badge. is that weird? haha im a little crazy.

No emotions to it at all. Have a love / hate relationship to the Box, have spent too much money on it.. would sell it in a heartbeat if the right price arrives and will put it up for sale the the moment the snow melts..

Well, "any" car I will get now will be (performance wize) be a downer. But I'm not worried, I would do the Boxster dream/nightmare thing again all day long

Replacement car will be either a BMW 3-Series (E90) facelift (2008-up) with auto, petrol, straight six, 2/4-door or an Audi A5 2-door, 1.8 TFSI, auto.

I never get emotionally attached to my cars and I replace it every summer/ every other summer. Cars are my passion and has been since I was a child.

(Well, the only car I was a little bit emo about was my VW 1200 Jeans edt. I sold last summer):

I understand Haz . Over my life time I have had a '58 VWbug(no gas heater cold as hell), a '61 Vw bug(no gas heater) and a 1972 VW bug bought brand new. I loved those old bugs. The last one had a gas heater and was most effective as long as the gas worked
.! As regards the 3 series BMW if they are off warranty I would be apprehensive.

Daughter's fiancee had an 200? something Audi and believe it was reliable for him.
Cheers, Guy

Nice. Bugs/Porsches, same deal, only difference is "Porsche has 2 more in the rear", as we say here.

Now back OT

No, although it did take me a while to find one I liked. Really, it is a hunt. I could easily move on to the next hunt. Lots too choose from. I like many different cars. I just have the Boxster now.

Yes, I am attached but if a deal on a 996tt came along, I might be tempted but.....I really don't know. Right now, I am extremely happy with my current ride.
