They were both dead. Been driving the car around for about a week. It runs cooler now by 15-20 degrees.

Drop Link Replacement
Yesterday my replacement drop links arrived from "autochassistaiwan". So I got straight to it and changed over the rear links that afternoon. This morning I jack the font up and lo and behold they have sent me the wrong front links. Between the time I placed the order and the time I received them they have amended the listing by removing where it says suits the Boxster. When I sent them a message they replied saying they would refund half but whAT i want are the correct links.
Bummer
see the listing here https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2-FRONT-2-REAR-SWAY-BAR-LINKS-PORSCHE-911-99-05/332289525464?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

Looked at it longingly in anticipation for when I'm out of my post-surgery shoulder sling....2 weeks down, 4 to go.

I hope the healing and PT go well. I have been dealing with a separated shoulder for @ 4 years, occasionally thinking about having surgery.

I took the Long Way Home from Church
Glendora Mountain Road to Mt. Baldy Village, +/- 26 miles of mountain road at 4,000 ft. This road was part of the last stage of the 2015 AMGEN Tour of California bike race. Mt San Antonio tops out at 10,068 feet. The bike race finishes at 6,400. The last bit is 15%. Those guys are gnarly. Nice drive with great views.

The key stuck in the ignition on Friday night. Fortunately, I had bought a bunch of spare parts from someone who sold his Boxster and it included a spare ignition switch. I spent Saturday morning with my face under the dash and my feet on the seat back replacing the switch. All is well thanks to others who shared their experience on this forum.
Today I talked to another board member who is selling me the bases from his 8-way power seats. He had the bases remaining from a project. (He still has the seat backs if anyone is interested). This will enable me to complete my seat upgrade ( http://986forum.com/forums/general-discussions/58080-full-power-seat-installation.html) by installing an 8-way power seat on the passenger side. I'll also help a friend upgrade his driver's seat with the other base.
Oh - and I got to drive the car a little bit.

Hooked up my shiny new Durametric. It's so good to get inside The Imp's brains!
Highly recommended piece of kit.
