I did this a month ago. It is a fun road to see how well the Boxster handles and it really did handle it well

Using a glove to catch the fluid is genius! I learned something new today, thanks Deadeye.

This weekend I installed leather trim pieces with red accent stitching from Redline. I'm pretty happy with the results, as I tend towards the subtle, OEM-looking changes.

Today I drove it to work. I want to drive with the top down for as long as I can before winter. It was 11°C out (about 52F), so I had to wear my Porsche baseball cap, but at least I could see a bit of sun, so it was a nice 15 minute ride.

Installed the Kuda cellphone holder. Kinda re-engineered the install. Instructions say simply install screw towards rear of the holder (about 10" towards the footwell) but with the all-leather panel the holder attaches to made it difficult. I lined the holder with double stick tape and used a longer self tapping screw. The holder is quite sturdy now.

... and yes, the Ultimate Cupholder is still very accessible

Went to the Black Hills

Okay, it wasn't just today, but it was a 5 day trip from last Monday to yesterday. Put on about 3000 km (~1850 miles) with a ton of driving within the Hills themselves. Without a doubt some of the finest roads I've ever driven in and around Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse Mon. and the 'needles'. Made a side trip to Devil's Tower Wyoming and that has great roads in the area as well.

Anyway, the car performed beautifully without a hitch. Today I washed it and got rid of a million hoppers and other insects that coated the nose.

All in all a great 5 days.

Installed o2 sensors. Crooked as ****************, but they will hold. The originals left a lot of material behind in the threads.

I left my driver's side window cracked open during a thunderstorm a few nights ago. Luckily I just had a damp carpet. Today, after a thorough inspection to verify it was dry, I "waterproofed" my Central locking unit. I know that ECU Doctors make a great product and I may go for that in the future, but for today, it was a cheap DIY with hot-glue on the seam and dielectric grease around the connections and fuse:

Today I washed it and added a pair of side decals, instantly shortening the time 0 to 60 by at least half a second, as well as increasing the top speed with around 12 mph...

That's my assistant/daughter, by the way.

You're lucky. We can't get those performance mods here in the states.

That's odd considering I got them from Canada...

But I guess they only work properly with the metric system...

Finally drove Chuckanut Drive

Lived in Washington State all my life and never been on Chuckanut Drive. Did so yesterday and will do it again. Despite the beautiful day, I had the 16 miles of road all to myself, except for one car who was kind enough to pull over and let me pass.
