LOL, sorry I forgot there are people here from other countries. I will change it up a little. I hope you have McDonalds because that is what I am adding. McDonalds are almost everywhere.

Wow, sneaky, I was trying to figure it out...I see a TransAm, a Supra, but I had to read your description to see the lights in the corner of the picture. Hopefully you can blow that up a bit or something.

Lol, sorry ketsa, Taco Bell would likely only easy for those of us in the US, but I figure there's got to be a McDonald's somewhere near you, right?

Lol, I hope he's watching, Mark, otherwise you may have to go find yourself a frozen lake somewhere.

It's also winter in the southern hemisphere right now, so I'm sure there is no shortage of frozen lakes in the world.

It's ok though, opening up the rules to include photos taken within the last year has given me a safety net. I know, kind of a cheap way to score a point, but I'm coming in late.

Just wait till you see my next challenge!

LOL no. The Fiero is a Pontiac with Ferrari 308 body panels.

The 1974 Ferrari 250 GTO is a kit car you buy. It is only the body, interior, wheels and frame. You have to come up with the Ferrari engine and transmission yourself. Some people put Ferrari Dino V6 engines in them, some put Alfa Romeo V6 engines.

Well, remember, it won't score you a second point when you meet your own challenge. Rather, it's allowing you to retain the point you got by meeting someone else's challenge. The purpose of that is so that people don't throw up something ludicrous, so they have to keep in mind that there's a penalty for putting up a challenge that they nor anyone else can meet. So if you're able to meet your own challenge you don't gain a point, but you don't lose your previous point, and you have to present a new challenge that will hopefully be something people will be able to accomplish without a lot of difficulty.

When I first read that I was sitting here scratching my head like..."frozen lake...in August?"

Yeah, and actually it might be harder than I originally thought. I've been checking southern hemisphere daily temps and there just might not be very many frozen lakes in the world right now. For some reason winter in the southern half of the planet is nowhere near as cold as winter in the north - go figure. I can change it and put out a new challenge if you like.

I think that's a good idea. Go back and edit your post with your picture if you still can and change the challenge, and then please post again with the latest challenge so those who go to the end of the thread will see it without having to search too much.

Here's another one, not as difficult but not a give-away either:

Boxster reflected in the side or rear view mirror of another Boxster

I was tempted to say both Boxsters must be in motion, but that would present too much of an opportunity for catastophe.

A while back there was thread about this guy named Michael Paul Smith who takes amazing photos of model cars. He inspired me to try this. Here is the flikr link for any that may have missed it.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/24796741@N05

So, it is up to Overdrive to either accept or reject this photo for my first point.

If it is a go, then the next challenge shall be:
A Boxster with sailboat(s) in the background.
(What did you expect with a profile handle like "Spinnaker")
I know that this may be a challenge for those whom are far from any water, but be creative, I was.

It looks more real than the Ferrari and Lambo pics we've seen.

Ok, if I submit a toy sail boat?

Creative shot Spinnaker

With the imminent doom of hurricane Irene on the east coast, this challenge may be easier than you think.....

As far as I'm concerned, if you can make it look good, go for it. I didn't say what size sailboat, did I?

After the hurricane passes through, some of you might have sailboats in your front yards, or what is left of your yards.

While it shouldn't just be entirely up to my discretion to count or discount an image, so long as it meets the criteria, it should count. If someone feels a need to dispute it, they can. But you have another Boxster visible in your mirror. nobody said they had to be on the same road, or for that matter, physically there. It could have been a die cast in your hand in front of the mirror. To me, it meets the criteria.

Heck, if someone has wallpapered their garage with sailboats, that's an easy point. That's kind of the point (no pun intended there ) of this is for people to get creative. I know the challenge creators have certain ideas in mind, but unless you get terribly specific, people are going to find ways to get their point without necessarily doing exactly what you'd expect. Also keep in mind that if you do get extremely specific, you have to be able to pull off that same challenge if no one else can, so it pays to leave a little wiggle room.

That being said, I've let a few slide to keep the game from stagnating, but we do need to put in the effort to take/supply decent pics as much as possible. Nothing tiny, grainy, blurry, etc. We should clearly be able to tell that the challenge has been met.
