Brad,

I have several driving events coming up and I want to do a preventative tech inspection. I do my own routine maint. on the car but would like to get another set of eyes on it who knows the Boxster and it's strengths and weaknesses well. Anyone in the area you recommend? I'd like to do it soon.

Just got back from a Performance Driving School in San Diego with PCA-SDR. 2 1/2 days: Friday chalk talk, Saturday skidpad drills, 1 on 1 instruction, accident avoidance, threshold braking, slalom, and autocross all day Sunday. What a great event. You could pay $2000-$3000 at Skip Barber or Bob Bondurant for a similar experience. PCA-SDR was only $275. Highly recommended for drivers of any skill level.

Also Brad,
Herb Meeder says hello. He was my instructor on Sunday. Quite the 914 pilot.

Inland Empire Boxster Meet

Maybe we should get this thread going again. Perhaps we can all meet one of this days. Starbucks at Baseline/Daycreek.

Yep. I'm game. I'm gone all next week delivering a BoxsterSpec car to Texas, but will return Friday or so.

I'll bring some broken engine parts

June 20th

6192 Celestite Alta Loma CA 91701

5:00pm arrival meet and greet

6:30pm departure for Mount Baldy

8:00pm return to departure site (our house) for dinner and drinks

BRING:

Plan on SWIM TRUNKS we have a large pool and hot tub.. I promise I will be pushing people into the pool

BEER (I'll have ice chests out with ice ready to go)

A CHAIR. I only have so many of them but we have plenty of concrete/pool decking for placing them.

We also have a FIRE PIT.. so bring some wood if you have some for your fireplace. It is still somewhat chilly on some nights

Bring MUSIC. We have an outdoor Bose system and the neighbors don't mind (they are all car guy's/people for the most part)

We WILL hang out and talk Porsches until the last person leaves Someone get's a little too "hammered" we have several "drop zones" where people can stay.

Can someone track down a copy of "The Warhorse Gang" Two VHS set? I'd like to have it playing in the background along with "Lemans"

Those of you with children?? BRING THEM.. we have a monkey bar/gym setup with a slide that is safe and clean. You have my word that I will help watch and protect the children (from other adults) We also have a basketball goal that they can shoot some hoops on.. and we have a separate game room where they can watch a "childrens movie" semi away from the adults outside (but within earshot)

THERE WILL BE NO DRUGS anywhere on the premise. If I smell or see anything, I will personally put my size 11 UP YOUR ASS and escort you to the door. ZERO tolerance. Want to smoke pot? Go down the street Think that is harsh? Try me.
