Replica/boxster airbag ??

Got another replica in for air suspension, new rims, stereo and alarm install. Customer wants me to get the airbags working. Problem is that its missing the side airbags on the door panels. The steering wheel airbag and passenger airbag are there since it's using the oem dash. The door panels are completely different. Can I bypass the side airbags by turning them off? From everthing I read is that if you have a fault none of the airbags will work.

Please no negative comments or bashing on the car-this is a technical question

i believe the other airbags are "alive" even if the lights on....
the steering wheel airbag can be bypassed with a resistor so I assume the door airbags can be also

This diagram may or may not be helpful.
I have the big fold out volumes if you need to see a particular schematic.
1998 airbag circuits:

From what I've seen it looks like the side airbags were optional on the '97 and '98 models. Maybe you could try the control unit and harness (if needed) from one of those early ones.

might the 'airbags' be for the suspension?

Hint: Take a minute to read the first post.

Madmodz: you bypass them the same as you would with any other airbag.
