Any recommendations for a top notch Porsche indy shop in the upstate NY area -- in the Albany Schnectady Saratoga triangle?

I probably will need to do a PPI in a few days.

Thank you.

Atlanta-area mechanic / service / repair shop?

Looks like Pro-Formance Place in Marietta (just outside of Atlanta) has closed, and now I'm searching for a new place to have my 2005 Boxster serviced nearby. Anyone know of a really good independent service/repair shop in the Atlanta metro area?

I live in Woodstock just north of you and am looking for a good shop as well. I will let you know as soon as I get a good lead.

What boxster did you get? Any pics?

I have read good things of RAC performance in Carrollton. I am in Houston however was looking at buying a box in Dallas at one time and looked at PPI to get done. RAC gave me some great tips and was reasonably priced. I didn't buy the car and bought one of of state.

986 in Denver

I have a 1998 986 that is in need of some minor work- front brakes, fuel pump and filter. I know these are easy DIY projects but I am currently living in an Air BnB and do not want to buy jacks and tools that will be abandoned after the repairs. And I'd have to do this parked on a busy street.

I'm looking for a respectable and reasonably priced repair shop in the Denver, Colorado area- I can't afford to take it to one of the dealerships here.

I need this done soon as I'm driving the car 1000 miles next week.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

In Indianapolis, I’d recommend Brian Stewart at Autocar Sports and Classics
1755 Country Club Rd.
Indianapolis IN 46234

In Maine it's Autowerkes in Freeport. Absolutely top-shelf in every way, can't recommend them highly enough. Mike (Service manager) and Bill (Porsche tech) are superb.

SE Michigan Recommendation

In SE Michigan / Detroit metro area, I recommend Automotive Techniques in Novi. I took my 944 there for things I couldn't do myself several years ago, and now that I have a Boxster, I'll be taking it there as well. Just had the car up there a few weeks ago for a clutch and oil change, in fact.

I've never checked with any of the local dealers to see what their prices are like, so I can't comment on how much less expensive Jeff Jones & co. might be, but I've been very happy with the quality of their work.

The shop was recommended to me by several other longer-tenured Porsche owners in the area.

Their website seems to have varying amounts of actual content from day to day, but it does list their phone number. They're on Grand River Ave. in Novi.

I own a 2000 Porsche Boxster 986 2.7L , I was wondering if anyone was aware of a reliable mechanic for my car in Miami-Dade County or Broward County? I am also interested in possibly going into an apprenticeship at no cost, I simply want to learn and have experience on working on cars. Put me on! Thank you.

Star Tech European in Vacaville. Great folks, they have worked on my 914 and my Boxster and they do great work at a reasonable price.

Any suggestions for a reliable mechanic/service facility in the Middletown/Monticello area of the Catskills in New York? How about Brooklyn, NY?

PowerTech in Rockaway, NJ will do a great job for you if it is "central" enough for you.
