Yes after watching a few videos on YT on 986 canvas top replacement I got the idea that the attachment of the canvas to the rear frame let go a bit, causing it to sag.

It seems to be held on by a combination of contact glue, double sided tape and pressure fitted rubber inlays.

The local Porsche guy (cape in m.v.) would not touch it, nor could he provide me with somebody that could at least make an attempt to look at it.

My plan is to raise the rear as far as it will go (service mode, then push the rear glass a bit further up and forward past the two seat roll bars), and then try to pull and reattach the canvas with one or multiple longish strips of 3M double sided tape.

All is about access here, and I am not sure I will be able to reach.

The other option is a canvas top or upholstery expert in the OC, but so far I did not get any useful names or pointers. It would have been nice if he had worked on Porshes before.
