I will not be storing mine. I figure what's the point in having a fun car if you are not going to use it. Now if I lived somewhere that was covered with snow for the winter, I might reconsider. But here in Seattle, we just have some really rainy days. Rain doesn't hurt the car, so I drive it as much as possible.
I'm also the type to not winterize my boat. Again, if I paid that much for a boat, I want to be able to use it anytime of the year. And yes, I have taken my boat out at xmas time when it was about 34 degrees out. That's what heavy coats are for.

It's coming from my heart when I dedicate my drive that day to Kronix and to all who's already suffering from the winter syndromes
May sound corny but wifey has asked me the other day, why do i have to say..."this is for my fellow 986forum members" everytime i put the top down before we pull out of the garage

it's okay, in the long run we winnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn! my car should out last any car drivin year around. meaning that i will enjoy driving my boxster for many years to come. as you will be forced to trade it in, because it has come to its end, by over use n abuse! n don't tell me ahh i'll just buy another one, nothing will compare to the feeling that you feel now. nothing can replace the boxster. yes you can go and buy another one, but nothing like your first love.
how's that for cornyyy.....lol
cruel is that your car will look like **************** after driving it through all those winters...lol

ahahahahaha! now' that is corny
I think mine would be in the garage right after Thanksgiving or 2nd week of December coz' it's getting foggy now in the morning plus the drizzle and mist from the bay might hurt the top...it will be stored for probably till February or early March...and them vroom...off we go

I'm only a few days from finishing off the storage procedure and I'm already feeling the pain. Thank God for the car cover because I don't think I could look Nicole in the face for the next 4 months!

I'm in SE Pennsylvania and won't store it. We get snow but at most it may mean I won't drive for a couple of weeks. Now I know I will eat those words and the ice age will begin this winter.

I'm still debating this issue with my wife. We get enough snow here that the ground gets covered in Late Nov/ early Dec, and we wont see it again until march/April. Yet the roads can be "clean" and clear allowing for "maintenance" driving. This is such a tough decision
Right now we have 40/50 degree weather and I still ride with the top down. No problem. I recall living in Germany for many years and seeing Porsches driving in snow, etc. Temps and snow there comparable to us here in Mid-Michigan.
What am I going to do?!!

The Canadian Ritual
Kronix, I feel your pain. I'm in Ottawa, and I put mine away a week and a half ago. I'm going through withdrawal!!!
If I were keeping it at home, I would have kept it out a little longer, but I'm storing it about 50kms away, so I had to pick a nice day and just do it.
I have to also store the Z this weekend, but if the weather's nice I may be tempted to go for a spin!!
13 days down, only another 156 days to go!!!
Ayan

Well the only thing that will make me garage my Boxster for the winter is if it starts to snow Shar Jones back-fat outside. If not...shes outside.

No storage for me either - winter just means different tires.
I would just be angry all winter if I was without the 987. Why work so hard with no reward?
