I agree. I've been driving my 986 for the past 4 winters on OEM Pirelli Pzero summer tires, and no problems. Once, even with snow on the ground. I don't just drive in the NYC streets either. Most of my weekend driving are on highways & suburbs in NJ and Long Island. What I've found is that you just need to fully warm up the tires before driving it with a bit of gusto.
