It does not auto-detect DME.
My garage computer is a Dell e6400 that was previously running a 32 bit windows 7 OS with the .Net framework 3.5sp1 which Durametric claims is not required in Windows 7. My Durametric ver 6.5 would occasionally auto detect but was limited and would soon fail. According to Durametric windows 7 32 and 64 bit are compatible. I spent a lot of time going through the computer running diagnostics and sent cable back for testing, nothing found, however they replaced the cable. After a couple months of frustration in a fit I wiped the HD clean and installed the free Windows 10. So long DELL. Hooked DM cable up and a pop up window reported I needed .Net Framework 2.0. Installed and I now have a working cable. Wonder if I would have had as much enjoyment if I had simply used my MAC!!
