I have to side with Timco, who is an ethical mechanic - a stunningly rare occurrence. Unless you got a quote and waited two months there should be no price adjustments

First off, I've seen no dramatic price ramp ups in parts cost. More importantly,, the dealer already charges you about three times the going rate of parts you get from Pelican, Sunset or Auto Atlanta. That mark up is used to pay for those shiny floors and all that glass.

I like shiny floors and glass too, i just prefer them at home.

Second, how did labor cost shoot up 30% after your quote?

Like Timco, if they found anything beyond the initial scope of the job, which does happen, your phone should have rang.

Edit: I would like to clarify that the majority of guys turning wrenches aren't the reason for cost gouging, it is the management
