IMS-RMS-Key
I received a quote for IMS upgrade, RMS replacement and window adjustment and was quoted approx $2400 at Porsche dealership in Jackson, MS. Decided to get it done for peace of mind (01 S @ 28k miles). When I dropped off the Box, I went ahead and ordered a key replacement. Was quoted $250. Fast forward two weeks and received call stating everything is ready. I asked for price of repairs and service guy says $3600. I asked why such a variance from initial quote. I was told he would research and call me back. Upon receipt of callback, I was told that the quote was based off a previous repair and that parts cost went up along with labor rate change but that they would knock the price down to $3k due to the miscommunication. I might add that the conversation was non-confrontational but couldn't disregard the sticker shock.
So I ask: Is this in line with other markets??
