Yeah, those lights are nasty looking. You can get a clear 3rd brake light too.

I have the smoked. Gives it a more updated while still looking factory look.

I have the smoked on my Arctic Silver. They match better with the smoked look of the "clear" side markers and corner trim pieces on the headlights.

I have Lapis blue, and agree that the clear look better on that color.

On silver / black / gray cars, I do like the smoked look...

Nice, I love the side skirts of Porsche's Aero Kit. I want a set of them for my car.

Just be cautious of your local laws. When I first got my Boxster I put a nice black trim piece that came with a clear cover on my license plates . You could read my plates plan as day, yet I got pulled over for having them on my car as unknown to me any cover over the plates are illegal. I only got a warning for it, went home and took them off. Wasted money and why the heck are they allowed to be sold at my local parts store if they are illegal?

I wasn't even moving. I was sitting at a stop light and a police car pulled up behind me. Soon as the light turned green on went his lights to pull me over.

If you have any mechanical skill at all it is a 1. The nut is a 8mm. Undo the nuts. Pull the circuit board out of the old light, installnew lights and your car will look up to date. It really is simple.

Ditto. There is no wiring up anything involved, it's plug and play.

Yeah the clear looks very good. If you have not ordered them yet, this is where I got mine and the cheapest price I could find on them.

As of now I'm still going back and forth on the color. So keep those pics coming. Especially silver cars. Thanks.

+1 on it being a "1" to install. hardest part is making sure the new gaskets get lined up right before tightening...

Now the car doesn't look 19 years old anymore.

Here's what my smoked lenses look like at night. Sorry it's the only picture I have of the tail lights.
But at least you can see how I moved the "running" light to the outboard side, stock that light is on the inside.

Bumperettes

Have you thought of painting the bumberettes the body colour? I have an '03 S in Arctic Silver and I just recieved my kit of plastic primer, basecoat and clearcoat from automotivetouchup.com and I plan on tackling the 2 black warts as soon as the weather cooperates up here.

I've seen an '04 with the bumperettes painted and it really adds to the look on light coloured models. On black or dark blue they don't stand out as much so painting them is of little visual gain.
